Hello!
I just randomly thought about this wiki and figured i'd check what's up. I haven't been on Wikia/Fandom for a few years since I moved on from Mako Mermaids, and i'd assume the other admins have as well disappeared after season 2 aired in 2015. I'm surprised this wiki is still being updated since the H2O/Mako fandom had died down a few years back. Thanks to those who have helped out in this wiki, especially those who are still editing to this day lol!!

Theory about mermaids and mermen
I think it’s canon that Mermaids don’t need mermen to hatch more mermaids.
Example: The fact it’s mentioned many times that the Mako Island Pod hasn’t seen a Merman for centuries BUT continually have more little mermaids.
However, this may not work in reverse
Theory: Mermen need Mermaids to have Mermen.
Example: Erik mentioned how he was from “a long line of Mermen,” implying a merman parent.
He also mentioned that mermen foster on land.
Not sure why, but considering he always knew what he was, I’m thinking this fostering happens after a small part of childhood so he would know how to protect himself and to fight off the moon spell.
Why would this imply they need mermaids?
For one, Erik was actively looking for them.

As someone with Asian background and has been a fan of H2O for a long time, I'm honestly quite disappointed I didn't see Weilan along with the others on this page. Wow.....

Season 3 Review
Hey everyone! The final season of the show was the best one out of all of them despite having fewer episodes. I can't believe Rikki from H20 was in this season and I knew exactly when she was introduced. That's what I like the most about this season. I couldn't believe the dragon was Nerissa this whole time. No wonder it didn't take Zac or Mimmi's tail(as they are her kids). This season rocked!!!

I love Mako Mermaids so joining this wiki was meant to be. I'm ScottStephen Jones and I will be on this wikia every day. This wiki is so awesome and I love this show. My favorite epiosde is all of them. My favorite character is Zac. It's so cool how they actually make the tails. I'll always be part of this.
My predictions for season 3
So most recently the last 13 episodes of season 2 have been updated. I must say that I enjoyed them more than I thought I was going to. Before I had complained about how I don't know very much about the way of life in pods and mermaid school but now I know a bit more. I learned about different siren songs for each pod (which all seem to be illegal in every pod), the perfume (made from oil instead of water), more magic, and mermaid history.
But that's not what this blog post is about. As we all know they have started filming for season three where a Chinese mermaid namend Weilan has accidently awakened a water dragon and seeks refuge with the Southern pod. Sisters of Mako: A H2O Adventure
Well this isn't a real series but a idea that should be a new H2O spinoff.
In the beach town of Rainbow Cove live three sisters name Casey, Tessa, and Flora. On there 16th birthday they went to camp at Mako Island, and during there hike found a mysterious cave were inside is the moon pool. When the full moon shine over them when they enter the pool there lives change forever. The next day they discovered there mermaid tails, and powers that they discover that a beautiful mermaid queen name Amphirite gave birth to three girls born half human half mermaids in the moon pool of Mako Island. While keeping there secret they have to deal with teen issues, and search for there long lost mother.

Mako Mermaids and H20: Which one is better?
Even though I love both of the shows, and I love Nixie, I kinda think that H20 is a better and more enjoyable to watch show. Why? I'll list a few reasons.
1. Sirena
I know this may seem like a weird reason, but just keep reading. In each show ( so far) there has been three basic personalities. The practical one, who might be a bit mean but doesn't easily loose her temper, the naive one, who might act kinda dumb or get pushed around by the others, and the hot-tempered one, who easily gets mad. Theres been some dispute on who's who with Nixie and Lyla, but everyone agrees that Cleo and Sirena are the naive ones. So why is Sirena the problem? Because …

Hi! This is my first blog, about season 2. Which, by the way, I am probably not going to watch. Why, you ask?
Well, for one, no more Nixie and Lyla. Nixie is my favorite, Lyla's my second favorite. I wouldn't even mind if Lyla left, but Nixie?! I just don't like Ondina and Mimmi. I just don't. And I never like the naive characters like Cleo and Sirena. So.. yeah.
Secondly, Evie's becoming a mermaid. WHAT? Evie, a mermaid? Four mermaids? Uh, no. I'm hoping its gonna be a temporary thing like with Charlotte. Because its always been 3 mermaids.

Season 2
Hey! I just wanted to talk about season 2. I think that Season 2 will be really good. I am sad that Lyla and Nixie won't be there, but I will still enjoy the show.
I think so far my favorite character will be Ondina because I loved Isabel Durant on Dance acadamy and she's just really cool. I wonder if Erik will just be here for one season or become part of the main cast. Ihope the show gets a season 3. If so, I wonder if Ivy or lucy will return. Will cam Redeem himself? I hope so.
Not a huge fanbase
I'll be perfectly honest... I'm glad that Mako Mermaids doesn't have a large fan base. I'm sure it will grow, at some point, and that will be great, because more things will be made available to do with the show. But knowing that the fan base is the size it is, this Wiki has accomplished a lot. It's not a super-active wiki, which isn't bad. Coming over from the Wolfblood wiki, this place is a ghost town!
I wouldn't mind if it remained like this. On another note... I am waiting for the day they announce a Mako Mermaids game or a trailer for a movie.

Confused with H2O and MM Differences.
I have not finished the season yet, but a couple of things have struck me odd from the spinoff show. How did the original three girls never come across these girls in the moon pool, and wasn't the moon pool destroyed? Also, how does Zac, as a hybrid merman, have powers of full mermaids while the girls didn't?
Also, Zac can avoid the full moon, how couldn't the girls? And it appears like the water thingy is dead, but how did the mermaids not know about it? I understand that they are southern mermaids. Does that mean they just moved to the area?

I just wanted to say I have seen the entire season 1 of Mako Mermaids on a website for free without download called www.vk.com/makomermaids I just went on there today day and it says it is a closed community! I don't have an account on there and when I trued to get one, it was really complicated and confusing and suspicious. So I am left out in the cold. So just for future seasons, I have no way of watching them. Help!
Theory On Moon Pool With H2O and Mako Mermaids
I had this thought. Rita tells two of the girls that if Zac takes the Trident into the Moon Pool on the full moon he will destroy the Moon Pool?. In the trailer we see Zac in the moon pool with the trident and lightening striking into the pool and hitting the trident. So what if this ide happens?.
What if Zac destroys the moon pool we know in Mako Mermaids. Some how this is the 1st moon pool design and someone is able to rebuild the moon pool but it looks like the design we come to know in H2O Just Add Water?.

I have been searching and following the production and premiere of Mako Mermaids from even before it started filming. I have been wanting to watch it and have been so excited. Except they do not show it in the US.
2. I do not have netflix.
Since they will not show it in the US, they think they can make up for it by making it avaliable on netflix for all the world. But, they did'nt think of people who only have CABLE or DISH or anything else they did'nt think of. I mean seriously what the heck?!!!
