The Water Dragon is the main antagonist of season 3. Water dragons are aquatic, fire-breathing magical beasts resembling dragons that inhabited bodies of water, and are distinguished by their hibernation cycle between Full Moons. Most water dragons were cursed with a dark charm that had driven them to destroy all merkind itself with their cold fire breath.
History[]
As the Eastern mermaid Weilan runs into the ocean for complete shelter during her transformation, when in her original mermaid form she notices a motionless blue light which begins to bubble to his surprise, while slowly the terrifying cause of that light is revealed, making a strange creature emerge, which causes the mermaid to have a horror face while that thing arises. On the next full moon, Weilan manages to escape from the water dragon, instantly moving to Australia, specifically the Gold Coast. She is welcome kindly by Mimmi, while she is received hostilely by Ondina. While the night is present between the skies, It is revealed that that beast somehow managed to reach the gold coast, starting to form. She scares and collides with Joe's boat and his younger brother David from him. Completely excited about the idea that there might be some kind of "sea monster", he instantly becomes obsessed with that thing, completely ignoring David's opinions as they make a rapid stride toward the waters of Mako. For the next full moon, Rita begins to train the mermaids so that they can prepare against the dragon. at the same time, Veridia announces a new plan to defeat the water dragon: she would that each member of the pack will use their moon rings against the dragon, presumably destroying it.
